Abstract

The article deals with the history of Ukrainian cinema from inception to the present day. The analysis films nineteenth century and their impact on the consciousness of modern Ukrainian audience. Considered the most famous Ukrainian film directors. Much attention is paid to contemporary cinema and its main trends. At present Ukrainian cinema is trying to get back on his feet, but neither the authorities nor our society do not want this to help people prefer American films, forgetting that our country takes a decent movie. However, despite all the difficulties the film, including funding dedicated actors and directors are trying to create, run and shoot new movies.
