Abstract

Perhaps for ώς θελ' as there is no real contrast of persons, but only an intimation of the extent or degree of power exercised, ώς θελ' ατως, ‘just as he liked’, should be read. I make no doubt λύρην should be preferred to the rival λαβών, which appears to be an import from 499, and for έέαριστερ Χειρός I would recommend π ριστέρέ ργων' ργων. The omission of Χειρός leaves nothing to regret, especially as it must mean in 418 the left hand, and in 419 the right hand
