Abstract
Gaston Franssen is Assistant Professor of Literary Culture at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His current research topics include contemporary Dutch and American-English literature, reception aesthetics, bestseller authorship, literary celebrity, literary fandom, performance poetry, discourses of subjectivity, and therapeutic fiction and the narrative self in mental healthcare.
