Abstract

Originally presented in Latin to the faculty of moral theology of the Gregorian university, in June, 1928... The thesis in its present form is offered to priests and to the administrative heads of Catholic hospitals in the hope that they may find it in some practical aid toward the solution of a difficult and disputed moral question. It is also respectfully offered to the members of the medical profession generally, including those who are not of the Catholic faith, with the hope that they will give careful consideration to this solution of one of the ethical problems occurring in their professional practice, in the light of unchangeable moral principles.
