Abstract

The aim of this paper is to question the classical opposition between tacit and explicit knowledge and to show that there is no gap between these two aspects of knowledge, just expression, transmission and learning situations of varying complexity and stringency. In order to do so, the strategy will consist of presenting certain of the difficulties and contradictions that the treatment of the concept of explicit knowledge in Harry Collins’s last book, Tacit and Explicit Knowledge may lead to.
