Abstract

Sociologist Chang-Soo Chung (a sociologist whose academic affiliations are not noted) explores the thought system contained in the I Ching, which he argues are primarily sociological and political. He then extracts and examines from the I Ching the theoretical assumptions, hypotheses, or paradigmatic perspectives that have relevance to some issues in modern sociology. Primarily based on Robert Lynn's 1994 English translation of the I Ching. Annotation copyrighted by Book News Inc., Portland, OR.
