Abstract

The end of modernity has put in question the problems concerning gender differences, sexual identity of individuals and sexual minorities. Gender identity was considered to be a term with too many metaphysical implications, and therefore with undesired political impact. But the central issue cannot be avoided neither by the feminist movements or by the traditionalists. The question is: how much from the identity as bodily-sexual matter depends on gender identity as socio-cultural matter?
