Abstract

The need for explanation of complex problems in human existence is responsible both for the appearance of new branches of science and for efforts to provide a deeper interpretation of earlier concepts. In the recent past, one encountered ever more frequently, in the scholarly as well as in the popular literature, definitions of the character of various phenomena from the standpoint of their values. As a rule, since the authors do not explain what they mean by value, every book seeking to provide a theoretical validation of that concept is welcomed with particular interest
