Abstract

Starting from the analysis of some passages of Adorno’s Negative Dialectics and Metaphysics: Concept and Problems, it is possible to spot a tendency to rethink “metaphysics” and the “metaphysical experience”. Through the reconstruction of some theoretical issues, in this paper I try to read Adorno’s thought in a relational and intersubjective way. What emerges from this relational reading is an innovative and original Adorno, not characterized by a sort of pessimism without any escape but rather by the need to save history, the human being and an inter-human dimension that might lead to an ethical development of humanity.
