Abstract

Stimulated by the distortion of the truth by the Bush administration in connection with the war in Iraq, the Italian author discusses the wide variety of forms of the distortion of truth practiced by political leaders and bourgeois ideologues. Among the categories of truth distortion he discusses are the mutilated truth, the forgotten truth, the staged truth, the suppressed truth, the inverted truth, the embellished truth, and the evaded truth.
