Abstract

This article deals with a modal version of the ontological argument, proposed by the American philosopher Alvin Plantinga in the 70's of last century. This approach to the formulation of the modal argument has been very productive and still causes concern, both among ordinary believers, and among philosophers and theologians. In the article special attention is paid to the following questions: formalization of the modal argument, the consequences of such a formalization, criticism of Kant and the modal version of the ontological argument
