Abstract

Erich Heintel (1912-2000) leitete in seinen Studien die Uberzeugung, dass es notwendig ist, den beiden wesentlichen Auspragungen des europaischen Denkens, namlich der Ontologie von Platon und Aristoteles uber die Hochscholastik bis Leibniz einerseits, sowie der neuzeitlichen Transzendentalphilosophie von Descartes uber Kant bis zu den grossen Vertretern des deutschen Idealismus andererseits, gerecht zu werden und sie einer systematischen Synthese zuzufuhren. Er folgte dabei der Idee einer 'philosophia perennis', wie sie Leibniz vertreten hat.
