Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of national cultural dimensions by G. Hofstede, M. Bond and M. Minkov. As a core of the national culture, values are of particular interest for the study. Using national cultural dimensions cultures of different countries can be compared, besides they will show the motives, possible reactions and expectations of the state. G. Hofstede could measure values of national cultures for more than 120 countries according to 6 dimensions, but for Azerbaijan he had only 2 indexes for Long-term orientation and Indulgence versus Restraint. And due to lack of indexes for the rest of dimensions, author conducted his own research - survey in accordance with the basic requirements G. Hofstede concept. The survey data were processed and displayed as indices on the basis of the formula of G. Hofstede and M. Minkov.
