Abstract

This article is a sequel to a previous study which analysed the function that the idea of destiny plays in the genesis of German Idealism. This article focuses on the concept of destiny in Hölderlin, the idea of freedom incarnated in the dramas of Schiller and the hegelian concept of universal history.
