Magic world of mathematics has found “common face”

Abstract

This article examines historical dynamics of social and cultural status of mathematics. It is proved that the activities of modern mathematics in the ensuing wide variety of mathematical modeling of processes merged with the sociocultural practices as a result of the development of computer technology. Mathematics itself thus had a new sociocultural status, under which began to carry out the function of intellectual services. It can be noted that practically oriented part of modern mathematics in the last half-century has lost an aura of «magic», which is always accompanied by the image of mathematics. Mathematics and thus gained his «earthly face»
