Abstract
The features of self-supporting work of students as a form of their educational activity are analysed. Meaningfulness of self-supporting work, which is directly related to all tasks which stand before higher school in terms of information society development, is underlined. The matter and types of self-supporting work are studied. It is underlined that forming of practical skills of students’ self-supporting management own activity becomes one of the key tasks of selfsupporting work which is very important for forming of future specialist competitiveness at the labour market. It is marked on meaningfulness of teacher’s role in self-suppotying work organization, whose function consists first of all in a management external factors. In addition importance of teacher’s work with student’s motivation is underlined, the matter of problem of which consists in that a student must not only determine, but deeply comprehend an answer to a question concerning why, for what purpose he studies. It is marked on that sound cognitive interest and reason of creative achievement come forward as effective reasons of educational activity. It’s marked on that self-supporting work of students is a multidimensional process, which contributes to solution of the whole complex of educational tasks and requires attentive attitude toward itself both from the side of student and from the side of teacher, because it needs the careful planning, electing of corresponding methods of its realization and analysis of the results. Thus self-supporting work is examined as an specific synthesis of efforts of teacher and student with an accent on independent character of cognitive activity of student. Special attention in the paper is devoted to research of process of organization of selfsupporting work of students in the modern terms of information society development and, corresponding, rapid spreading of information and communication technologies including in an educational sphere. The considerable theoretical-methodological and practical potential of this research problem is underlined.
