Abstract

These considerations discuss the scientific friendship between Tadeusz Kotarbiński and Izydora Dąmbska. They are a "lead" to Dąmbska's letters to Kotarbiński, published for the first time. They both came from Kazimierz Twardowski's Lviv School. After his death, Dąmbska found in Kotarbiński a friend and confidant of her own scientific affairs. She really owed him a lot. And he was very willing to help her. Their cooperation took place both in the years before and after the war. The time of the 1950s was particularly difficult for them, when they had to struggle with the force imposed on Polish philosophy by Marxist ideology. At that time, both of them stood behind their Master from Lviv and defended the values they had learned there.
