Abstract

L’entrée de l’ordinateur cristallise les relations latentes à la vie de couple et les contradictions qui la minent. Pour comprendre ces effets, encore faut-il connaître le devenir de la vie conjugale. En effet, un objet technique n’a de sens que dans la mesure où il s’inscrit dans un corps social traversé par ses propres dynamiques. L’ordinateur accentue donc, plutôt qu’il ne crée, certains traits d’évolution de la famille et des rapports homme/femme. Il intervient dans un univers déjà investi par un ensemble d’objets techniques socialement marqués et inégalement répartis entre les sexes.The introduction of the computer uncovers the dormant relations in a couple’s life and its undermining contradictions. To apprehend this phenomenon, a thorough knowledge of today’s domestic life is essential. Indeed, a technical object only makes sense insofar as it integrates into a society with its own underlying dynamics. The computer, as a consequence, does not produce, but rather emphasizes some trends of the evolution of both family and current gender relations. It enters into an arena already surrounded with technical objects that are socially marked and unevenly distributed among the sexes
