Abstract

The phenomenology of experiencing nature is interested in the phenomena we encounter when we are out in nature, what impact that has on our feelings und how these specific effects take place—while also taking traditional Chinese nature poetry as its basis for interpretation. In fact, we witness a form of twofold resonance in this respect: between nature and the poet, expressed in images, metaphors, rhythm and timbre, and between a poem and its reader through attentive reading and aesthetic enjoyment. This is the fifth monograph by the author, whose focus is the difference between the physical and the feeling body in traditional Chinese culture.
