Abstract

Resume: The paper is devoted to the development of modern Western philosophy of education. Philosophical-educational concepts of various epochs and education systems were formed in different sociocultural conditions. The issues of typologisation of modern Western education philosophy are considered. The author emphasises that comprehension of modern education problems is an intensive process. The paper is also focused on education in the epoch of post-colonialism and postmodernism, forming of national philosophies of education, opposition to globalisation processes, Westernisation, marketisation.
