Abstract

O presente artigo procura, malgrado o reconhecimento da enorme relevânciada tarefa social que Richard Rorty destina ao ficcionista, apontar alguns possíveis limites ao seu pensamento, no que diz respeito à apropriação integral e descontextualizada de suas idéias à realidade de sociedades marcadas pela dominação econômica e pelo atual estado da produção cultural nelas difundida. Despite the acknowledgement of the relevance of that social task attributed to the fictionists by Richard Rorty, this paper aims at suggesting some possible limits to the reception of his thought, especially in societies characterized by economic domination and by the present condition of cultural industry there
