Abstract
In this issue of our journal the reader will have the opportunity to familiarize himself with the development of Marxist-Leninist philosophy in the German Democratic Republic. In publishing a series of articles by GDR philosophers, the editors are continuing the fruitful tradition, already established in the journal, of intimate collaboration with philosophers of the socialist countries. This collaboration has recently acquired a new form in the publication of special issues of this journal devoted to the development of Marxist philosophical investigations in individual socialist countries: the Polish People's Republic, the People's Republic of Bulgaria,* and the German Democratic Republic. The editors propose to continue in the future to work on series of articles by philosophers from the socialist countries, thus specifically implementing the ideas put forth in the editorial article "World Socialism and Marxist-Leninist Philosophy" [Mirovoi sotsializm i marksistskoleninskaia filosofiia], 1973, No. 5.
