Abstract

This paper focuses on the action of the intellect. Polo differs from Hegel in the interpretation of this action and in the subsequent role of the intelligible. For this reason I inquire also the congruence of knowledge as spontaneity. I will study spontaneity both historically and thematically, and in this order: i) nature as a spontaneous process ; ii) the human subject as spontaneity ; iii) I will criticize the notion that the human subject can be the basis of objectivity; iv) I will expose some necessary adjustments for a non materialistic interpretation of the intellect
