Arthur Danto è figura di spicco della critica d’arte contemporanea nordamericana. I suoi saggi, le opinioni espresse su The Nation (è dal 1984 che occupa le stesse colonne una volta affidate a Clement Greenberg) o su Artforum hanno una forte presa sulla scena artistica.
