Abstract

Eco-karma as a category of eco-philosophy can bring a new thinking to philosophy of the western world, because it joins our being with responsibility. Nowadays we can join by eco-karma theory of self-realization by A. Naess with theory of ecological interactive community, which was elaborated by G. Snyder. On the one hand, Snyder brings imposing metaphor of shamanistic community, in which vehicle of information exchange is love and on the other hand Naess shows that self-realization cannot bring its fruit if its fundament is not religious experience. But we can say that eco-karma as new category of eco-philosophy shows new recognize of responsibility, because it describes relation between individual and collective responsibility. Namely Snyder’s shamanistic interactive community representing collective responsibility and religious experience of ego-involvement with being representing individual responsibility as it shows A. Naess. Their synthesis opens new resources of our thinking, which show us that we have divine essence and we may participate in creation of the world.
