Abstract

The thesis of this paper is that the established profane knowledge of psychology is proving inadequate to contemporary human experience, and that psychology now has no choice but to "enter the sacred" by acknowledging and investigating integrative experiences associated with states of transcendent consciousness. 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
