Abstract

Resumo: O artigo procura articular a concepção do riso em Nietzsche com a história das teorias do riso, analisando alguns estudos que apontam para uma estreita relação entre o cômico e o trágico no autor. A despeito da ênfase que geralmente é dada ao aspecto ético da função do riso como crítica da tradição moral cristã, procurou-se dar atenção especial à dimensão estética do riso dionisíaco.: The article seeks to articulate Nietzsche’s conception of laughter with the history of theories of laughter, analyzing some studies that point to a close relationship between the comic and the tragic in the author. Despite the emphasis that is generally given on the ethical aspect of the function of laughter as a critique of the Christian moral tradition, special attention was given to the aesthetic dimension of Dionysian laughter.
