Abstract

This article studies the reception of the modern logic in the Catalonian cultural area taking into account, essentially, the academic and extra-academic social, cultural and political factors which have conditioned this reception. It contains the detailed exposition of a change in the paradigm of logic in a specific cultural European area . This work can also contribute to clear up what the social academic conditions have been and what historical circumstances have determined the difficult development of the Catalan philosophy in the 20th century
