Why Do Social Scientists Do Research?
Abstract
The purpose of social science research, it was said that the establishment of rules or laws, it was said to be explained, some people say is going to predict and control. Once you understand the researchers are not independent of the research activities, but in interaction with the object of study to understand their lives, it should accept the interpretation of the realm is the realm of social sciences further. Researchers involved in the research process or to promote a time, omnipresent concern by the their own life, history and life experience influence the growth, but the popularity of social science methodology to researchers to forget this. In contrast, the interpretation of the theory of knowledge-focused, the default position of the researcher's own social recognition, so researchers can learn to respect the study of social position. In explaining the theory of knowledge, researchers are pursuing the study of behavioral cause and effect on the truth, that is God's truth; reasoning in the interpretation of knowledge, researchers to explore their ultimate concern is how life is constructed out of. The goal of social scientific research is more than explaining or predicting. Explaining is premised upon the independence of the researcher from the subject of study. However, no researchers are independent of the subject of his study.
