Abstract

This paper proposes that the philosophical discourse considered excellent is inserted in a matrix that combines three elements: the formal, the historical-geographical and the cultural. The first section of the article presents these elements. It then introduces philosophical forms and discourses that either do not receive the same prominence or occupy a marginal and invisible position in relation to this matrix. The second section discusses some of the effects of this hierarchy and epistemological erasure, arguing for a more plural conception of philosophy. This conception is not reduced to a set of elements that privilege some cultures, protecting differences, and thus recognizing the plurality of philosophies.
