Abstract
Technological advances, new media and content presentation tools are changing the functioning of journalism, favoring the emergence of new forms and varieties. Many of them rely on online tools and the data available in these media. It is data that becomes the central value around which forms such as data journalism, geojournalism, computer-assisted reporting, and robot journalism are built. Thanks to these varieties, information is provided in a different way, often interactive, containing extensive visualizations. The role of the journalist himself is also changing.
