For Permissions, please email: [email protected] two books contribute, each in a very different way, to the reflection on a timeless subject: eating. While Eat This Book deals with a polemic subject, Taste as Experience focuses on the general experience of the simple act of eating and drinking and how this contributes to philosophical reflection. These questions are far from trivial and it is necessary to address these subjects in a context where each citizen is increasingly led to think about the environmental and ethical impacts of his food consumption. Furthermore, the pleasure that comes from the act of eating, far from being a hedonistic fantasy, allows us to reflect on our relationship to the world.
