Abstract

A collection of short selections from the works of 13 contemporary philosophers, held together by the editor's introductory comments and analyses. The book's title is somewhat misleading; it is more expressive of the editor's particular interests than of the general character of twentieth century philosophy. As it is, 6 of the 13 philosophers whose works are included think in primarily "non-analytic" ways.--V. C. C.
