To Be a Man ​​Written in Capital: We Meet with the Works of Mencius While Reading

Abstract

If we are willing to read with the "Mencius" meet, we should aspire to do a capital of the people. From the perspective of moral idealism, "Mencius" requires us to "human nature is good evidence" to establish the goodness of man as man of the; look forward to our "evil hypocrite", rejection of smooth and slick hypocrisy of the party. Conservative doctrine from the cultural perspective, "Mencius" call us "Friends of the ancients", through the fine cultural traditions of the recall and verify the root of the source; prompted us to "ward off evil and said," heresy refuted by the clear wisdom of the trip. Cultural ideals of the people, will be a capital of the people. Whether the desire for cross-flow of the moment and commented on the world state, or for the construction of the future vision of everyone Yao and Shun, the personality of the theoretical and practical role is not to be underestimated. If we'd like to meet the works of Mencius while reading, we should be determined to be a man written in capital. In perspectives of moral idealism, the works of Mencius requires us to testify human innate goodness so as to establish the foundation of goodness that embodies the essence of human beings and expects us to detest people of villages so as to refuse the way of camouflage that seems to be good and careful. In perspectives of cultural conservatism, the works of Mencius calls on us to treat the ancients kindly in order to cast back the fine cultural traditions that verifies the origin of civilization and enables us to refute heretical ideas and thoughts in order to clarify the devolopment of wisdom. Only a man with ideal and culture can be a real man written in capital. The theory of personality in the works of Mencius is of immeasurable theoretical and practical significances not only for the denouncement of present society full of much too material desires but also for the reconstruction of future world as led by emperors Yao and Shun
