The theses of the preponderating impact of the political parties in Belgian polities in the «interbellum» stems from definite political sources in that period. It has to be critically analysed. For the political parties, although the most observerd decision-makers, are in many respect not the sole nor the most prominent ones.

Contains the first volume of a new trilogy of Avicenna's _Physics_ and deals with that part of the _Shifā’_ which concerns physics and natural philosophy, in Latin the _Liber primus naturalium_.

The main purpose of this work is to provide an English translation of and commentary on a recently published Arabic text dealing with con ditional propositions and syllogisms. The text is that of A vicenna (Abu represents his views on the subject as they were held throughout his life.
