Husserl’s concept of subjectivity doesn’t bound to its logical and episte­­mological aspects, but it extends to its ethic und aesthetic dimensions. The external perception constitutes the original and founding experience of transcendental life. Moreover the per­­ception’s trend to a complete vision of the things moves the whole subject and explains its dynamism. This trend is just an ideal, which any kind of sub­­jective effort could realize. However Husserl considers some experiences, which imply the subject’s “liberation” from the passivity of a (...) tendency to a total intuition of the objects. That’s the case of the aesthetic consideration of the images. Beside she announces a peculiar way of relationship with the world and the others, but in another way as the perception. (shrink)

The Navarre-Venezuelan philosopher Juan David García Bacca is one of the most notable and original figures of Spanish-speaking thought, although his work has not yet received the attention it deserves. One of the pillars of his philosophy consists of what he calls a transfinite anthropology that considers man as an entity that strives to enhance his being. This anthropological approach is based on a phenomenology of nature that emphasizes the becoming and the transformations that man effects in the world. In (...) this philosophical context, García Bacca soon became interested in the work of Husserl, Scheler y Heidegger. This article deals with the way in which García Bacca describes and values Husserl’s descriptions of intentional consciousness. The problem that García Bacca poses to transcendental phenomenology concerns neither the reality of pure consciousness nor its objective scope. García Bacca is interested in finding out if there is a potentiation of the being of consciousness superior to or deeper than the self-reflection proper to the transcendental attitude. He discovers this potentiation in the notion of an “agonic consciousness” that resists the representation of its annihilation, and whose philosophical antecedent is found in the work of Miguel de Unamuno. Without sharing all of García Bacca’s interpretation of Husserlian phenomenology, the author of the article considers that it nevertheless raises relevant questions concerning the facticity and necessity proper to the transcendental subject. El estudio de la fenomenología husserliana del recuerdo bien puede aportar elementos para la comprensión de la poetología de Paul Celan. Con tal pro-pósito subrayamos la facticidad del proceso de rememoración y de constitución del pasado distante: durante tal proceso la intuición se mezcla inevitablemente con imágenes. A su vez, la poetología de Paul Celan puede contribuir a esclarecer la alteridad que antecede la consideración propiamente estética, a saber el conflicto entre objeto-imagen y tema de la imagen , el cual (...) se resiste a cualquier reproducción adecuada. Mediante sus poemas, Celan no dejará de re-cordar esta alteridad que precede cualquier goce estético. Desde esa perspectiva emprendemos una lectura del ciclo de poemas Sprachgitter.The study of Edmund Husserl´s phenomenology of memory could well contribute to the understanding of Paul Celans poetology. For that purpose we try to highlight the facticity of recollection and constitution of distant past: during this process the intuition mingle inevitably with images. Besides, the poetology of Celan could help to elucidate the alterity anteceding the aesthetic consideration as such, that is the conflict between picture-object and picture-theme , which resists to every effort of adecuate reproduction. Through his poems Celan won't cease to remember this alterity that precedes any aesthetic enjoyment. From that perspective, we want to read the cycle of poems Sprachgitter. (shrink)

El cometido del presente trabajo es examinar la actualidad del “ethos barroco” en nuestro mundo histórico, concebido como un mundo “neobarroco”. Para ello, comenzaremos indagando en perspectiva histórica los rasgos esenciales del “ethos barroco”, por oposición al “ethos protestante” que se impone en la modernidad capitalista, en relación al proyecto de Restauración católica de la Compañía de Jesús y su política cultural. En segundo lugar, desarrollaremos a grandes rasgos la imagen del mundo como representación (theatrum mundi) en el Barroco (...) histórico, haciendo especial hincapié en su dimensión sociológica (a tenor de la importancia crucial de “saber aparecer”), pero también en el plano ontológico (en relación a la dialéctica ser/apariencia). A continuación, probaremos la hipótesis de un “capitalismo neobarroco” en el presente, a la luz del actual fenómeno de “estetización social” (del mundo y de la vida humana). El objetivo último de la investigación es caracterizar desde una perspectiva eminentemente crítica la “vida en la imagen” que se deriva de este proceso planetario, en la medida en que se constituye como una impostura radical y ontológica, consistente en negar el carácter onírico de la vida, escapando a la conciencia del sueño. El análisis foucaultiano de la "parresía" termina su proyecto de una "historia de la verdad". La parresía muestra al ser del sujeto como sola actividad y, así, destaca el límite fundamental, que podemos encontrar en Platón por primera vez, entre el ser del hombre como éthos y el ser del hombre como téchne, que es la frontera entre la filosofía y la retórica. El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar esta contraposición en lo siguiente. La filosofía es un decir atemático (...) frente a la dependencia del tema de la retórica. La filosofía es deber, asunción de la fáctica finitud del hombre , y crítica, descubrimiento de la necesidad del decir... verdadero en el juego del alma y de la pólis. La filosofía es exposición al peligro que supone la descomposición de la pólis, frente al aseguramiento de la posición más ventajosa en ella.Foucault's analysis of "parrhesy" ends his project of a "history of the truth". The parrhesy shows the being of the subject as only activity and, thus, it points out the essential limit between the subject's being as éthos and the subject's being as téchne. That is, it points out the border, which we can find first in Plato, between philosophy and rethoric . The purpose of this paper is to show that philosophy is un-thematized as opposed to the dependence of the theme of rhetoric. Philosohy is duty, the acknowledgment of the factical finitude of man , and criticism, the discovery of the need of truth-telling in the... game of the soul and the pólis. Philosophy is the exposition to the danger that means the decadence of the pólis, as opposed to the assurance of the more advantageous position in it. (shrink)

The meeting of worlds and the principle of sola Scriptura. Rather than function as a catalyst for unity, the Bible can be the cause of conflict among Christian believers. The Bible is also often the reason for strife, specifically in the Reformed tradition, even though Protestants uphold the creedal truism of sola Scriptura and though the authority of the Bible is seen as selfmandatory, transcending the normative power of ecclesiastical or confessional traditions. This article focuses on biblical interpretation as both (...) a cause of disunity and a possible means to achieve greater unity. The point of departure is that biblical interpretation consists of a fusion of horizons; it is primarily about the fusion of two horizons, namely that of the Bible and that of the reader. However, both these horizons represent a great diversity of perspectives. A variety of readers interpret the Bible from diverse contexts. The Bible itself also communicates a diversity of ideas. Even the notion ‘Jesus Christ’ does not function as a unified or unifying concept. The article proposes that the idea of ‘Jesus’ cause’ could provide continuity between the world of the reader and the world of a biblical passage. (shrink)

The first part of the correspondence between Friedrich August Tholuck, the leading theologian of the German Revival Movement, and Edward Bouverie Pusey, later the head of the Anglo-catholic Oxford-Movement, shows Pusey as a “pupil” of his German friends Tholuck, August Neander and Karl Heinrich Sack, whom he met while studying in Germany. In his “Enquiry into Theology” he wrote a remarkably liberal refutation of Hugh James Rose's confessionalistic high-church criticism of the “State of the protestant religion in Germany”. Based on (...) the protestant “sola scriptura” Pusey rejected any “check and restraint over the human mind” and took the stance of what he called an “animated science” mediating between free scientific enquiry and pious belief in one's personal need of salvation from sin through Jesus Christ. Thus Tholuck's and Pusey's standpoint came to somewhat unclearly oscillate between personal experience as the fundamentum inconcussum of their belief and the endeavour to base this belief on the authority of the historically secured messianic understanding of the prophecies of the Old Testament and the factual credibility of the gospel history. Este artículo aborda la poesía de Edith Stein a partir del tópico de la Revelación. Entendida como «la buena nueva» de la venida y la resurrección de Cristo, la Revelación se relaciona con el mandato del amor al prójimo, cuya sola posibilidad radica en el amor a Dios, pues «quiere que le amemos, cuando manda que amemos al prójimo», como explica sor Juana. Y así, se relaciona también con la mayor «fineza» de Jesús hacia a los hombres, según la (...) carta Atenagórica, que consiste en «los beneficios que nos deja de hacer» para contener nuestra ingratitud; en el amor al prójimo, la correspondencia del amor es para Él, pero la utilidad es nuestra. En la poesía de Edith Stein, la Revelación se corresponde con la revelación del lector, con lo que se consuma la representación de la mayor fineza: para el lector, y para él solo, es la utilidad de la lectura. In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:THEOLOGY AT FRIBOURG SINCE ITS FOUNDATION in 1889, the faculties of theology and of philosophy at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland have been under the auspices of the Dominican Order. Unlike the Catholic University at Lublin (Poland) where a consciously developed school of phenomenological Thomism exists, one can speak only in the broadest terms about a "Fribourg school" of philosophy or theology. The reason for this lies in (...) the fact that members of the Faculty have professionally proved themselves in varied and highly specialized areas of theology, in dogmatic and moral theorology, in exegesis, canon law, liturgy, etc. Historically this appraisal finds verification when one considers the contributions made in the first half of the century by such men as N. del Prado, F. Marin-Sola, and G. Manser in dogmatics; D. Prummer in morals; V. Zapletal and M. Sales in Scripture; and P. Mandonnet in historical theology.1 A similar list of distinguished philosophers and theologians who have taught in the more recent past or who are actually teaching at the University could be drawn up, although it would be too long to include here. The books chosen for discussion in this article have been recently published by three members of the Faculty of theology-two of whom are emeritus. Although they represent a small part of the present Faculty's scholarly output, they do provide, as the titles indicate, substantial samples of the full range of systematic theological inquiry in ethics and dogma. Nonetheless, the shared conception of theology which directs each author's approach to his respective discipline warrants joint consideration. 1 Information on the early period of the University may be found in J. Broadly speaking, this shared conception derives from the strongly unified view of theology as sa.cra doctrina set forth by St. Thomas Aquinas at the very beginning of his Summa theologiae. By definition Christian theology results from intelligent reflection upon the revealed Word of God. As such it embraces within its range of concerns everything which has to do with God himself and the real world He created. Still, because of his capacity for an authentic relationship with the blessed Trinity and the special destiny implied in the status of adoptive sonship, the human person holds a privileged place among theology's interests. As a result, the starting point for theology is the words and deeds of Jesus Christ as they have been recorded in the canonical Scriptures. These acta et gesta Christi hold a unique place in the life of the Christian Church precisely because of who Jesus is, a man, one like us, hypostatically united to the divine Logos. For Aquinas theology finds its starting point in the very depths of God's Being where the Eternal Father speaks the personal Word which perfectly reflects the Godhead. In this St. Thomas reflects the clear Johannine teaching on the Trinitarian origins of all Christian life and thought, " Now they know that everything that thou hast given me is from thee; for I have given them the words thou gavest me...." (John 17 7,8). The most of Christian traditions embrase the notion of sacrament. This notion deals with the church directives in a narrow meaning. According to Saint Augustine, the sacrament is a visible action of an invisible grace thus the Church, the Christ, the Bible, being material phenomena where two natures combine, are also considered to be sacraments. Therefore, the author of the article presents the Bible as the most outstanding and the most visible example of a sacrament in a broad meaning. Using (...) the examples of the attitude change to the Bible in the Catholic tradition, the author studies the move from the sacral perception of the text in the decisions made at the Council of Trent to its open sacramental understanding in the documents of the Second Vatican Council and its post-council decisions. Due to the fact that Ukrainian scholars and local clergy theologically poorly interpreted the Bible as a Word of God in the Catholic tradition, the goal of this article is to make a diachronic comparison of the results of the Council of Trent and the Second Vatican Council, which allows to show the change dynamics in the attitude of the Catholic Church to the Bible. The Council of Trent was a reaction of the Catholic Church to the emergence and achievements of the Reformation and its important principle Sola Scriptura. The Council approved two doctrinal documents on the Sacred Scripture: the first one deals with the Scripture canon and the relations between the Scripture and the Sacred Tradition, and the second one defines which text of the Scripture is to be considered sacred and official and how to interpret this text. The author concludes that the Council limited the Sacred Tradition only with faith and moral issues, meaning spheres of doctrines and piety, and recognized Latin translation of the Bible - Vulgate - to be the only official version to have a sacred meaning and "a sacred book per se". The Bible is admitted to be a closed book, separated from the readers and receivers of the Gospel, which is prohibited for an autonomous interpretation. On the contrary, the Second Vatican Council and its documents, in their essence, had a pastoral task, manifested in an attempt of giving a comprehensible overview of the Catholic Church doctrine for the world community. Therefore, the author asserts that the last 400 years of the history of the Catholic doctrine show serious changes in its attempt of contextualization and mark its main peculiarity: reaction to the modern society challenges and needs. The task of the Second Vatican Council was to clarify the nature of the Sacred Scripture, which had to balance the Tradition and a new approach to the Scripture. Based on the analysis of the documents of the mentioned Councils and the commentaries of the authoritative Catholic preachers, the author concludes that the new approach to the Sacred Scripture essentially points to the open sacral and sacramental character of the Bible. The author emphasizes the modern approach to the sacrality of the Bible not only as to a "sacral book per se", but also in its sacral effect on the reader. The researcher asserts that new changes declared in Dei verbum and Verbum Domini, which emphasize the pastoral effect of the Bible as a way of knowing Jesus Christ, are crucial for the building relations between various Christian movements, especially for the Catholic and Protestant traditions. Die Subjektivitat ist das ureigene Grundthema der Phanomenologie. Allerdings kann die Phanomenologie die Subjektivitat nicht zum Thema machen, ohne die Frage nach der Intersubjektivitat zu stellen. Beide Problemfelder sind derart aufeinander bezogen, dass sie nicht unabhangig voneinander behandelt werden konnen. Die Phanomenologie aber eignet sich besonders gut dazu, die Art und Weise der Zusammengehorigkeit von Subjektivitat und Intersubjektivitat zu erforschen, weil sie nicht von vornherein eine ubergreifende Vernunft oder einen allumfassenden Geist zugrunde legt. Vielmehr macht sie gerade die Singularitat des (...) einzelnen Subjekts und sein einmaliges Verhaltnis zu den ebenso singularen Mitsubjekten zum Problem. Diese Einsicht liegt den funfzehn Beitragen des vorliegenden Sammelbandes zugrunde. Dirk Fonfara, Michela Summa, Irene Breuer, Walter Schweidler, Michael Wallner, Alice Pugliese, Meike Siegfried, Anna Orlikowski, Thiemo Breyer, Antonio Cimino, Jesus Guillermo Ferrer Ortega, Christian Rossner, Daniel Biro, Inga Romer und Klaus Held gehen in ihren Beitragen der Frage nach der Subjektivitat und ihrer Bezogenheit auf die Intersubjektivitat aus verschiedenen Perspektiven nach. El constante interés de Freud por la historia ha sido, generalmente, menospreciado. Sin embargo, de la lectura de sus obras se desprende que llegó a elaborar y a manejar una teoría propia, con la que pretendía tener la llave para acceder a los ingredientes capaces de explicar los aspectos fundamentales de la evolución histórica de la humanidad. Sin conocer esta concepción de la historia no puede apreciarse en sus justas dimensiones el edificio teórico freudiano ni valorarse adecuadamente su posición respecto (...) a los limites de la terapia psicoanalítica. La inserción laboral de las mujeres y su creciente formación académica abren quizás, por primera vez en la historia, las puertas a la conquista de una identidad femenina propia, plural, dinámica, en continuo proceso de construcción. Mujeres flexibles capaces de gobernar autónomamente sus propias vidas, tanto en el plano económico y profesional como en el plano afectivo y familiar. En primer lugar, se abordan los efectos de la globalización sobre el trabajo y el empleo en el marco de una economía (...) informacional. En segundo lugar, se establecen los principales factores que originan una creciente inserción de las mujeres en el mercado laboral. Y, en tercer lugar, se analizan brevemente algunas de las consecuencias que ese aumento de la tasa de empleo femenino trae consigo: la redefinición de las relaciones entre hombres y mujeres, especialmente en el terreno profesional, matrimonial y sexual. ¿Son más o menos religiosos los jóvenes de hoy? A la hora de abordar esta pregunta me he acordado de un profesor de filosofía de bachillerato, amigo y compañero de claustro, que ante preguntas tipo "¿Es libre más hoy que antes el ser humano?" solía responder: "Defíneme ser humano, defíneme libertad, defíneme hoy y defíneme antes, y empezamos a hablar". Pues bien, en nuestro caso sería sencillo definir "joven" para responder nuestra cuestión, no sólo en e l sentido de acotar (...) la edad (¿de los 15 a los 25 ó 30?), sino sobro todo el lugar: está claro que los jóvenes africanos son mucho más religiosos que los europeos o los norteamericanos, y los terceros mucho más que los segundos. Pero el problema se complica a la hora de definir "religión". Porque creemos que, desde el punto de vista amplio o inclusivo, un buen porcentaje de los jóvenes -incluso europeos- siguen siendo religiosos. Mientras que desde otro punto de vista, que podríamos llamar "religioso institucional", son cada vez menos religiosos. (shrink)

In this article I analyze the academic reception of Jonathan Haidt’s seminal article _The emotional dog and its rational tail: A social intuitionist approach to moral judgment_. My thesis is that in the spheres of philosophy and psychology, this article was initially studied within the neurocentric paradigm, which dominated the field of scientific reflection in the fifteen years following its publication. This neurocentric reading established a specific interpretation of the text with several limitations. However, more recently a digital paradigm has (...) emerged and come to prevail in academia, providing a new perspective from which to return to Haidt’s text. Indeed, this approach makes it possible to unravel elements of the famous article that in the neurocentric paradigm went unnoticed by researchers. Moreover, the digital paradigm manages to better integrate Haidt’s seminal article into his later work as a whole. (shrink)

Este trabajo pretende abordar los juicios estético-morales establecidos por Yuriko Saito en el ámbito reciente de la estética de lo cotidiano, a la luz de la belleza funcionalista del pensador ilustrado David Hume. Para ello, se desentraña el mecanismo afectivo sobre el que descansa la experiencia estética tanto en el caso del objeto intrascendente de todos los días sobre el que teoriza Saito, como en el caso del objeto utilitario sobre el que discurre Hume y que demuestra que el juicio (...) de gusto es uno solo, en ambos pensadores, con el juicio moral. Se concluye así que la simpatía por obra de la cual existe la belleza en el joven Hume, al acabar virando hacia una empatía prematura en el Hume maduro, refuerza el entronque con Saito, con su preocupación por el otro y su deseo de alcanzar un mundo mejor. El propósito del presente artículo es establecer cómo los estilos de afrontamiento en niños influyen en su comportamiento prosocial, particularmente en aquellos afectados por el cambio estructural de la familia derivado del divorcio o separación de sus padres. En la actualidad, las estadísticas evidencian el aumento de los divorcios como secuela de la pandemia. El divorcio altera la parte psicoafectiva de los hijos, quienes manifiestan dificultades a nivel académico, cambios de estado de ánimo y de comportamiento, junto a problemas de (...) interrelación con los demás. Asimismo, como cada familia funciona con una dinámica propia, también serán diferentes los modos de afrontar y recuperar la salud emocional, psicológica y social. Apreciaremos la relación de la conducta prosocial y los estilos de afrontamiento en niños de padres separados, teniendo en cuenta que esta se relaciona con la empatía, y consideraremos la influencia positiva o negativa de los miembros de la familia. El presente artículo realiza una comparativa entre las propuestas de Guy Debord y Giorgio Agamben a partir de los términos espectáculo y gloria. A efectos de realizar la comparativa, tomaremos una pregunta inspirada en una célebre crítica de Nancy a Debord: ¿En qué medida podría decirse que efectivamente existe, más allá de las lógicas de la mercancía y la soberanía, una vida “auténtica”? Dividimos, luego de una sumaria introducción, el artículo en tres partes. En la primera, estudiamos la propuesta de (...) Debord en torno al par vida y espectáculo. En la segunda, dilucidamos la perspectiva de Agamben, quien dialoga con Debord, alrededor de los conceptos nuda vida, vida calificada, formas-de-vida y gloria. En la tercera, intentamos ofrecer una respuesta a la pregunta de investigación planteada a partir de la cuestión de una posible vida auténtica en relación con la revolución política. Verisimilitude theorists (and many scientific realists) assume that science attempts to provide hypotheses with an increasing degree of closeness to the full truth; on the other hand, radical sociologists of science assert that flesh and bone scientists struggle to attain much more mundane goals (such as income, power, fame, and so on). This paper argues that both points of view can be made compatible, for (1) rational individuals only would be interested in engaging in a strong competition (such as that (...) described by radical sociologists) if they knew in advance the rules under which their outcomes are to be assessed, and (2), if these rules have to be chosen "under a veil of ignorance" (i.e., before knowing what specific theory each scientist is going to devise), then rules favoring highly verisimilar theories can be prefered by researchers to other methodological rules. Os desafios evidenciados pela universalização dos direitos por meio do acesso à universidade mercantilista, que excede a questão da origem popular e/ou da tradicional oposição homogeneidade cultural versus heterogeneidade, colocam um conjunto de vicissitudes para o professor, que interroga a si mesmo e que considera digno ou ignóbil endereçar sua palavra professoral aos destinatários com o objetivo de possibilitar a vivência de uma experiência formativa. O nosso problema, como sociedade brasileira, consiste no fato de que instalamos nacionalmente o imaginário de (...) que alguns são mais capazes, enquanto outros estão impossibilitados em razão de suas origens. Essa fantasia tanto orienta os professores, por meio de um raciocínio baseado em um apartheid sociopsicopedagógico, como serve de fundamento para algumas políticas inspiradas no caráter de exceção. Como resultado, são excluídas a dimensão desejante do professor e a implicação subjetiva do aluno em sua passagem pela experiência da vida universitária. (shrink)

ResumenLa investigación social cualitativa ha prescindido de la utilización de referentes empíricos accesibles y compartidos a partir de los cuales acordar la producción y el análisis del habla. A partir de este criticable déficit, lo que hace este trabajo es analizar el problema del habla utilizada como material empírico para observación desde el punto de vista de la labor científica. Con esta finalidad se argumenta la importancia de la comunicabilidad de las observaciones producidas y de su análisis a partir de (...) los problemas que plantea la función deíctica del habla observada en la investigación. La conclusión del trabajo plantea la necesidad acordar e introducir un referente objetual en la situación de observación experimental con el fin de garantizar la comunicabilidad de las acciones investigadoras, así como la recepción y circulación del habla observada entre las distintas comunidades de hablantes y sistemas discursivos.Palabras clave: discurso social; validez; investigación cualitativa; función deíctica; comunicación.
