The article presents the conceptualization of development of information culture of personality under the conditions of modern society; identified methodological bases of information culture that develops in conditions of virtual-network society; defines the essence and the content of the information culture and analysis concepts and categorical apparatus information culture, disclosed the relationship to information information management culture; problems of development of information culture and ways of their solving.
