Abstract

This work meticulously weaved into 10 chapters deals with the religious philosophy of Gita, ultimate reality, a yoga-Shastra, reununciation, truth, ahimsa, bhakti and krishna as Avatara. The second phase has deep bearing of Gita on the complete life of Gandhiji and his ethics. In fact this great religious scripture was instrumental in influencing his mind and thought throughout his life. The book would be useful for social scientists, teachers and students in India and abroad.
