Abstract

The actor is placed in the centre of the play in the theatre. He incarnates the being that is and the imaginary one. The audience at the theatre observes while being encouraged to blend itself into the theatrical image, breaking down the limits that separate one from the other. These findings have been formulated by V. E. Meyerhold, from the point of view of the theory of Biomechanics, and by Eugenio Barba, from the point of view of Theatre Anthropology. The following article emphasizes the force of a vision that approximates and interweaves these two theorists and theatrical directors.Palabras llave: Vsevolod Emilievich Meyerhold; Eugenio Barba; Biomechanics; Theatre Anthropology.
