Abstract
Important functions of family education are conscious choice of profession, familiarization of children, adolescents and youth labor market, formation of selfdiscipline and personal qualities required for the desired work or position. In modern societies with rapidly modernizing people have to change profession and engage in during their life continuing education to take its rightful place in the labor market. Family education, which in questions of career counseling is guided by common sense guidance only and focuses solely on the prestige of the profession, could cause the collapse of a young man living in a situation of impairment experiences of parents. The same applies to the purposeful formation of dynasties and elite, an instrument which is family education that defines personality development in the direction of a given profession a family tradition. Risks connected with the loss of freedom of choice, hide a threat of selfidentity, life plans if it does not coincide with the plans of the family. In contrast to career guidance of family education in industrial society in the postindustrial time vocational work under family education should emphasize more the points that affect the work ethic and the formation of human qualities necessary to adapt to changes in the labor market in terms of active and mobile society. Family education plays a crucial role in professional selfidentity. After all, it comes first in the family to include the world of work, the formation of selfdiscipline, not in the least defined family values, meaning and guidance of family education.
