Abstract

O artigo tem como objetivo examinar o conceito levinasiano de palavra vivaa partir da relação entre objetivação e metáfora. Procura-se mostrar que, emLevinas, a linguagem se descreve a partir da relação face a face entre o mesmoe o outro, e que esta relação é a marca não só do sentido ético do pensar, mastambém da estrutura retórica da linguagem humana. O retorno ao falar cotidiano,proposto por Levinas, é a condição para que o processo de objetivação nãotermine anulando a separação entre o mesmo e o outro, sendo igualmente o recurso filosofico que a retorica nao seja sinonimo de injustica e nao-verdade.The article aims to examine the levinasian’s concept of living word trough therelation between concept and metaphor. The Levinas’s conception of languageis based on the face to face relationship between the I and the Other. And thisrelationship points not only to the ethical meaning of the human’s thinking,but also to the rhetorical structure of the language itself. The return to thedaily speech, as Levinas presents, is the condition to preserve the separationbetween the I and the Other.
