Abstract

Throughout Interrogating the Anthropocene, the reader will come across a series of watercolors that I have created in recent years. They were made in response to my time spent in the field researching concepts that relate to the origin and extraction of organic and synthetic materials, my relationship to these materials within my sculpture studio practice and the hyper vast lifespan of such materials as related to the transformation of landscapes and climate, petrochemicals, and speculative futures. These are all interconnected in the potential doom that they harbor.
