Abstract
I am pleased to offer, for your insight, the latest issue of Education and Culture. This issue takes on a somewhat unorthodox format for a variety of reasons, from which emerged a powerful issue that is a combination of both a themed issue together with the timely articles of diverse content found in a regular issue. This issue is dedicated to the first installment of a special theme issue that takes up critical questions at the intersections of data, technology, education, and the precarious present moment in which the world is responding to a global pandemic, climate change, and amid a massive worldwide social uprising.
