Communication policy space: formalized component of information flows

Abstract

The article examines the impact of informal methods in the process of political communication. The author offers the following methods of influence: rumors, humor in the political sphere. Information policy field next to the formalized institutional channels of mass communication includes the so-called informal communication. Informal communication we include information that is not controlled from outside the formal structures. However, it should be noted that recent studies indicate informal communication part of its spontaneous, moreover, in a sense, this type of communication can be managed in the «right» direction. Informal communication is an effective tool for influencing the public consciousness and behavior. Despite all the above, it should be noted that the difference between formal and informal communication that unlike the first, the next is not subject to strict control and difficult to predict the consequences of its impact on society. Informal types of political communication have a significant impact on the perception and interpretation of facts. Using them may manipulate mass consciousness.
