From the Peasants' Perspective to Study the New Model of Land Management of Local Government
Abstract
Sustainable development of land is an important scientific concept of development content. As with most land has a direct interest of the farmers, their participation in land management decisions is not only reasonable, but also for protecting their own interests and sustainable development of land has a dual meaning. However, the current land management in local government, but there are farmers in effectiveness is not high, which not only harms the legitimate rights and interests of farmers, but also a negative impact on sustainable development of land. Solution to this problem requires local governments to update land management, through institutional innovation to attract farmers to participate in land management decision making. It is significant for the peasants to participate in the land decision-making since the peasants have the most direct interest with the land, which is helpful for the peasants' self-interest protection and land sustainable development. In fact, the peasants seldom participate in local government's land management, which is harmful for both the peasants' legislative rights and the land sustainable development. The local government should renew the land management model and set up a systematic procedure to let the peasants participate in land decision-making
