Andalusia, the Maghreb, and North Africa have played important roles in Islamic history regarding Qurān memorization and writing. These regions have contributed significantly to Qurānic recitation methods. The expertise of Maghrebi scholars is evident in modern Qurān printing, which often ref-erences their work. This expertise partly stems from a traditional wooden board-based memorization method used for centuries. This study examines the wooden board Qurān memorization tradition in the Maghreb and North Africa. It explores the history and educational process of this (...) method, which began with Islam's spread in the region. The study also describes Qurānic education institutions in the area. The research outlines three main stages of the memorization process and explains different applications of the method. It highlights the characteristics of the wooden board-centered approach, including how it combines visual and auditory learning, recitation to a teacher (ardh), listening (samā'), and writing. The study discusses the bene-fits of starting memorization from the end of the Qurān and how this meth-od aligns with multiple intelligence theory. It also examines 'tanzel' and 'an-sas' practices, which connect memorization to Qurānic orthography. Addi-tionally, the study describes the educational materials used in traditional memorization and explores their symbolic meaning in the regional religious and cultural context. Bu yazıda son devir Osmanlı âlim ve müderrislerinden Mehmed Zihni Efendi tarafından Osmanlı Türkçesiyle kaleme alınan “el-Kavlü’s-Sedîd fi ‘İlmi’t-Tecvîd” diğer ismiyle “Tecvîd-i Cedîd” adlı eseri değerlendirilmektedir. Medrese talebelerine yönelik hazırlanmış olan bu eser, üç ana konudan oluşmaktadır: Mushaf-ı Şerif, tilâvet ve tecvîd. Eserde, Kur’ân tarihi ve kitabeti, tilâvetin hükmü ve çeşitleri, Kur’ân eğitiminin fazileti, hatim geleneği gibi konuların yanı sıra vasıl ve vakıf hükümleri, harflerin çıkış yerleri ve sıfatları ile med çeşitleri gibi konular da ele alınmıştır. Müellifin konuları işlerken, yaşadığı (...) dönemle alakalı hatalı davranış ve alışkanlıklara yönelik eleştiri yapmayı da ihmal etmemesi eserin önemli noktalarından birisini teşkil etmektedir. Müellifin, tecvid kaidelerini önce nazarî düzeyde ortaya koyup, daha sonra uygulamalı örneklerle açıklaması; nazarî düzeyde bırakmaması ayrıca önem arz etmektedir. Bu kitap kritiğinde, eserin tanıtımı yanı sıra Zihni Efendi’nin özel görüş ve düşüncelerinin altını çizmeye çalışılmış ve müellifin kullandığı kaynaklar kırâât literatürü açısından değerlendirilmiştir. In the first three centuries of Hijri, the first schools of qırā’a emerged in cities such as Medina, Mecca, Kufa, Basra and Damascus. The science of qırā’a concentrated in these cities spread to the newly conquered geographies in parallel with the conquests and the Islamization activities carried out, and under the influence of different factors, some qırā’a’s became dominant in certain regions. Having a special place among the first schools of recitation, Nāfi' b. Abdirrahman al- Madanī’s (d. 169/785) qırā’a gained (...) fame in Medina. This qırā’a, which is of great importance in terms of reflecting the accumulation of recitation of the city of the prophet, has begun to spread in the Maghreb and North Africa regions since the early periods of Islam. In this region, the Medina school of qırā’a was favored by the people and thus became almost the only qırā’a preferred for centuries. As a matter of fact, the mushafs in the region in question have been printed according to this qırā’a from past to the present day. In this study, the phases of the historical progress of Nāfi‘ qırā’a in Ma-ghrib and North Africa are shed light on. In this context, after dwelling on the first qırā’as transferred to the region since the conquest, an evaluation has been made on the entry of Nāfi‘ qırā’a to the region, its pioneers, development and historical process. Then, the reasons and motives behind the spread of Nāfi‘ qırā’a in the region are given, and the reasons for its preference in the region are analysed. Afterwards, information was given about the teaching of Nâfi' qırā’a and its riwāyahs (narrations) and tareqs (ways) in the main sources of recitation. Then, the education of the Nâfi' qırā’a in Maghrib and the ten ways, with al-Ashara al-Nāfe'eyya education program which was distinguished from other Islamic geographies, were tried to be revealed. Grammar studies on Arabic started with Abu Aswad ad-Duali (d. 69/688) in Basra, the center of science and culture. Grammar studies have improved with scholars such as Khalil b. Ahmed (d. 175/791) and Sibeweyhi (d. 180/796) during the Abbasid period (750-1258). These studies, which continued in the style of commentary and annotation after the Abbasid period, reached its peak in the Ottoman period (1300-1922). One of the scholars who wrote a work in the style of commentary on the science of (...) nahw (syntax) is Ali b. Muhammed b. Mas‘ud al-Bistami al-Shahrudi (d. 875/1470). He became famous with the nickname Musannifak because he started to write books at a young age. 15th-century Ottoman scholar Alaaddin Musannifak Mas‘ud al-Bistami al-Shahrudi (d. 875/1470) grounded the nahw issues, he used the Qur’an, hadith and Arabic theology; he also applied to rational proofs such as qiyas and istishab. In this article, Musannifak’s method of applying only to narrated sources such as the Qur’an, hadith and Arabic words in order to reveal his methods of commentary is discussed. In this context, Musannifak’s method of reference to narrative sources in his commentary has been revealed with a qualitative approach by analysing his work on al-Misbah by Nasir b. Abdiseyyid b. ‘Ali al-Mutarrizi (d. 610/1213), Sharḥ al- Miṣbâḥ fi al-naḥw. (shrink)

Hükmün tanımına ilişkin fıkıh usulünde ortaya çıkan farklılıklar kelâmî bir zemin barındırmaktadır. Alaaddin es-Semerkandî hüküm teorisinin kelâmî zemininden bahsetmekte ve hükmün mahiyetine ilişkin farklılıklara itikadî ayrışmaların etkisini dile getirmektedir. Mu’tezile’nin şer’ gelmeden de fiillerin hükümlerinin bilinebileceğine ilişkin hüsun-kubuh anlayışına bir reaksiyon olarak Eş’arîler; aklın bir fiilin hüsun ve kubhuna dair hüküm veremeyeceği, aklın nimet verene şükretmeyi gerektirmeyeceği ve şer’ gelmeden önce fiillerin hükmünün bulunmadığı iddiasındadırlar. Hüküm teorisinde ortaya çıkan görüş farklılıklarının temellerinde hadis-rey problemi de yatmaktadır. Kur'an ve sünnetin en (...) önemli iki kaynak olduğu ortadadır. Bununla birlikte hadislerin toplanmasının reyle hüküm verme alanının daralmasına sebep olduğu bilinmektedir. Hadis-rey tartışmalarına kaynaklık etmeleri sebebiyle burada Kur'an ve sünnetin otorite oluşlarına değinilmiştir. Yine burada Kur’an ve sünnetin otoritesinin kelâm eliyle sağlandığı özellikle vurgulanmış, İlahî iradenin hüküm koymada tek yetkili unsur olarak tayin edilmesinin de kelâm eliyle belirlendiği dile getirilmiştir.
