The end of the second and the beginning of the third millennium was marked by the growth of national consciousness in Ukraine. Understanding of traditional values, culture, native history has become an important part of the spiritual sphere of the modern Ukrainian conceptual system. In connection with the loss of many ethical, aesthetic, religious, existential landmarks, there was a need for reconstruction, the return of national styles of thought, in which the ancient great Ukrainian culture and statehood would be concentrated.

У статті досліджено рекреаційне господарство Галичини другої половини XIX - першої третини ХХ ст. Комплексно охарактеризовано основні галузі, що становили основу рекреації та туризму, проаналізовано динаміку відпочиваючих, систему оплати оздоровлення та санаторно-курортне господарство, систему гірських притулків краю загалом. Показано, що туризм і відпочинок були важливим джерелом доходів мешканців Галичини, що дозволило краю отримати належне ставлення як із боку держави, так і з боку справжніх поціновувачів та любителів природи й етнографічних особливостей. Констатовано, що саме в цей період було побудовано розвинуту туристичну (...) та оздоровчу інфраструктуру, яка мала набагато більші масштаби, ніж у сучасних Україні та Польщі. (shrink)

The Lviv Union in 1946 became one of culmination episodes of the process of the abolishment of UGCC but it couldn't provide definite turn of the Greek-Catholic clergy and the faithful to Orthodox religion. The attempts to give church-canonic legacy failed. In the work you can see rupture of the union and the process of "reunion" with Russian Orthodox Church, repressive mechanisms of the state influence on hierarchy, priests and the faithful of UGCC, sacrificial readiness of the Greek-Catholic clergy of (...) Galychyna and Transcarpathia to stand for their belief in spite of official policy of the Soviet regime. (shrink)
