Cet article s'attache à montrer le processus de création d'un espace public de proximité. À travers une expérience , nous présentons les grandes phases constitutives de ce processus. En effet, la création d'un espace public de proximité suppose une première phase de concertation à travers la mise en présence des différents acteurs et de différentes logiques d'action. Cet espace de concertation doit ensuite se transformer en un espace d'intermédiation. En passant d'un espace public de concertation à un espace public d'intermédiation, (...) on passerait d'une phase de confrontation d'idées à une phase d'articulation de ces idées. L'espace public de proximité correspondrait donc à cet espace d'intermédiation dont le fonctionnement serait basé sur les principes de démocratie et de participation.This article attempts to show the process of creation of a public sphere of proximity. Through an experiment , we present the main phases that made up this process. Indeed, the creation of a community-based development programme requires the first phase of dialogue between those involved concerning the possible spheres of action to be adopted. This dialogue phase must then be transformed into a programme of intermediation which implies moving from discussion of opposing ideas to the articulation of those ideas. The community-based development programme would thus correspond to this mediation process which would be based on the principles of democracy and participation. (shrink)

I attempt to clarify the specificity of Spinoza’s hermeneutic proposal of the Scripture in the Political-Theological Treatise. In this regard, I assume two levels of analysis in Spinoza interpretation: the historic-critical and the philosophical one. My aim is to find out the relationships between these two levels, and also the differences of Spinoza’s interpretation with others, in particular, that one developed by Lodewijk Meyer in his Philosophia S. Scripturae Interpres.

Music may have a strong influence on literature. Many novels have reflected this by thematizing music in many different ways. However, this engagement can also adopt the form of an imitation or a formal presence that does not actually require the text to say anything about music. This paper aims to explore some aspects of musical imitation in literature that have not been analyzed in depth. Departing from the approach developed by Werner Wolf, I propose a distinction between imitating and (...) imitated elements that applies to any case of study. Furthermore, at the core of this article, I advocate for a fourth dimension that the imitation of music in literature may have and that should be added to word music, formal and structural analogies, and imaginary content analogies. I call this fourth category “graphic analogies.” It implies an imitation whose imitating element is the graphic, written aspect of the linguistic signifier. Finally, this leads to the idea that, in the case of the imitation of music in literature, there is not a necessary correlation between imitating and imitated elements. (shrink)

El objetivo principal de este trabajo pasa por mostrar la presencia de ciertos valores clásicos y estructuras del medievo –sin por ello absolutizar su importancia– dentro del inconcluso proceso de construcción de una modernidad específicamente latinoamericana. En primer lugar, analizaremos el contexto intelectual de Nueva España durante el siglo XVI, profundamente influenciado en un sentido amplio por el humanismo renacentista europeo. We defend the thesis that the logical level and the objective level are in a strong opposition. Logical level is normative and transcendental whereas objective level is naturalist and substance-based. The use of language is an interpretative/valorative praxis which starts by normative presuppositions. We use satisfaction ambits, elastic constraints and critical states in order to achieve meaning. Meaning of language is not a substance, mental language is immeasurable and the project of naturalization of reason, as in evolutionism and cognitivism, doesn’t (...) work with normativity. Finally, we will support a transcendental and normative conception of logic against eliminative materialism. (shrink)

Los marabouts, o morabitos, son líderes religiosos de las cofradías musulmanas sufíes africanas. A ellos deben obediencia los talibes, discípulos, tanto en sus lugares de origen como en la diáspora migratoria, de gran intensidad y tradición en el muridismo. Los marabouts, con sus visitas recurrentes a los diversos lugares de migración, articulan la identidad colectiva a la par que recogen divisas para regresarlas a Senegal, redistribuyendo y también ejerciendo de �grandes hombres�, ricos, dadivosos y santos, moviéndose en el capitalismo financiero (...) contemporáneo con recursos y tradiciones propios. Sus roles se analizan de modo complejo por parte de los estudiosos, a veces como figuras de dominación e incluso de explotación laboral hacia los discípulos; otras veces, como líderes movilizadores de capital social, cultural y económico, cuyas obligaciones redistributivas y morales compensan sobradamente el esfuerzo de la comunidad. Aquí se pretende recoger precisamente la densidad de este debate, y dado que las funciones marabúticas caminan entre las prácticas culturales emancipatorias y dominantes aparentemente a la par. Con la clausura de Río+20, la Conferencia de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo sostenible, son ya cuatro los encuentros internacionales al más alto nivel que se ha celebrado en los últimos cuarenta años. Conocer el contenido y los temas que se trataron en las mismas nos servirá para comprobar si estas reuniones son un éxito, un fracaso y si todavía tienen un futuro prometedor.

As it seems impossible to find reliable evidence to back up hypotheses on the origin of our use of the linguistic tool in our acts of communication, I believe that we may start by pointing as accurately as possible to the processes involved, using a methodology that attempts to reach the levels of adequacy proposed by Chomsky, complemented by those suggested by David Marr. The literature on masculinity lacks thorough and sustained in situ examinations of how diverse boys employ their bodies to construct masculine identities during pubescence. To address this gap, the present article examines how a group of 10 sixth-grade Latino boys, who publicly acknowledged that they were experiencing puberty, employed their bodies at school to construct their masculine identities. The data suggest that among the boys, puberty was a social accomplishment connected to masculine enactments informed by the dominant gendered expectations of (...) peers at school and in their neighborhoods, the hegemonic masculine practices espoused by commercial hip hop rappers, and the dominant gender orders in the U.S and both Dominican and Puerto Rican societies. With physical displays of corporeal strength and tolerance for pain, the boys sought to signal that they were entering adulthood and preparing their bodies for a social world wherein physical confrontations between males were commonplace. The findings contribute to our understanding of how second-generation children who reside in low-income, working-class neighborhoods and have social ties to their nations of origin and their respective cultures construct masculinities in the United States. The article concludes with a call for longitudinal ethnographic studies examining how boys from various social backgrounds construct masculine identities during their pubescent development. (shrink)

This paper builds on existing research investigating CSR and ethical consumption within luxury contexts, and makes several contributions to the literature. First, it addresses existing knowledge gaps by exploring the ways in which consumers perform ethical luxury purchases of fine jewellery through interpretive research. Second, the paper is the first to examine such issues of consumer ethics by extending the application of theories of practice to a luxury product context, and by building on Magaudda’s :15–36, 2011) circuit of practice framework. (...) This is significant in that, to date, consumer research using practice theories has focused mainly on routine and habitual practices. Our findings and discussion provide an analysis of intentional and less intentional ethical consumer performances within the interconnected nexus of activities of consumers’ fine jewellery consumption practice, where meanings, understandings and intelligibility of social phenomena are worked through the various activities that shape such a practice. Finally, the paper concludes with significant managerial and policy-related implications, as our extended circuit of practice analysis conveys that if ethics and sustainability dimensions are to be embedded in fine jewellery consumption practice, they must first be made an intrinsic part of the nexus of the social and material environment of trading and consumption places. La unidad de las cuatro visiones.--San Agustín o la visión cristiana.--Vico o la visión renacentista.--Voltaire o la visión racionalista.--Hegel o la visión absoluta.

El presente artículo se centra en el concepto de no-dualidad en las sabidurías orientales. En primer lugar, se expondrán y comentarán sus definiciones y su relevancia en el pensamiento y la filosofía oriental. Tras analizar los diferentes significados de no-dualidad propuestos por Loy, se trazará su origen en el taoísmo, budismo, zen, hinduismo y vedanta advaita. Además, se examinarán los principales textos de las sabidurías orientales mencionadas anteriormente para encontrar posibles afirmaciones no-duales.

Los valores y actitudes tradicionalmente atribuidos a la mujer, que han configurado lo que hoy podemos llamar el �legado� femenino, han sido secularmente despreciados; valores como el cuidado o la cooperación se minusvaloraban en el patriarcalismo frente a la fuerza física, la fría razón y la competitividad. Este artículo se propone defender, desde el feminismo de la diferencia, cómo es precisamente el legado femenino (con su elementos varios que serán descritos como holísticos frente a las escisiones duales tradicionalmente masculinas) el (...) que ha de venir a rescatarnos en las luchas sociales hoy, en su promoción del valor del cuidado como noción axial del ser humano y en su íntima vinculación con las reivindicaciones ecologistas.
