    Logical foundations of applied mathematics.V. V. Nalimov - 1974 - Synthese 27 (1-2):211 - 250.
In applied problems mathematics is used as language or as a metalanguage on which metatheories are built, E.G., Mathematical theory of experiment. The structure of pure mathematics is grammar of the language. As opposed to pure mathematics, In applied problems we must keep in mind what underlies the sign system. Optimality criteria-Axioms of applied mathematics-Prove mutually incompatible, They form a mosaic and not mathematical structures which, According to bourbaki, Make mathematics a unified science. Search activity: A key to resolving contradictions in sleep/dream investigation.V. S. Rotenberg - 2000 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 23 (6):996-999.
The target articles on sleep and dreaming are discussed in terms of the concept of search activity integrating different types of behavior, body resistance, REM sleep/dream functions, and the brain catecholamine system. REM sleep may be functionally sufficient or insufficient, depending on the dream scenario, the latter being more important than the physiological manifestation of REM sleep. REM sleep contributes to memory consolidation in the indirect way. [Nielsen; Revonsuo; Solms; Vertes & Eastman].

    "Critical Theory" and Christian Theology.V. I. Garadzha - 1985 - Russian Studies in Philosophy 24 (3):3-21.
In his critique of empiriocriticism, V. I. Lenin also considered it necessary to characterize its relationship to religion in order to show more fully the social significance of this school, which was fashionable in its time. In contrast to those who took at face value the pretensions of Machism to present the scientific thought of the nineteenth century and who hastened to put it in place of "obsolete" materialist dialectics, V. I. Lenin unmasked the "completely reactionary character" of this essentially (...)

The eschatological component of the ultimate purpose of history in the philosophy of P. Teiyar de Chardin's history.V. R. Duikin - 2003 - Ukrainian Religious Studies 26:46-55.
Teyyar eschatology, as a doctrine of the ultimate destiny of mankind, is deeply rooted in the concept of the ultimate goal, which is regarded as a true result, though it emerges as a tool designed to fill some of the emptiness created by humanity in the course of natural science practice. Teillard felt that the deplorable state of modern mankind was the result of his neglect of eschatology, his inability to adapt to the needs of his activities, and his lack (...)

Variations and active versus reactive behavior as factors of the selection processes.V. S. Rotenberg - 2001 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 24 (3):553-554.
The interaction of the organism with the environment requires not only reactive, but also active behavior (i.e., search activity) which helps subject to meet the challenge of the uncertainty of the environment. A positive feedback between active behavior and immune system makes the selection process effective.

    The neo-Marxist idea of socialism and Christianity.V. V. Zinchenko - 2000 - Ukrainian Religious Studies 16:11-22.
Along with other definitions, the XX century is also called a century of domination of ideologies, which almost always considered a person as a means to establish one or another type of domination: either national, or class, or bureaucratic. Any but mandatory one that would resist human freedom, and therefore - justice. Ideology exits a person to think freely and make informed decisions. She wants to accustom her to adapt humbly to the existing political and economic conditions, to form a (...)

    Synchronizing oscillations: Coding by concurrence and by sequence.V. G. Haase & L. F. M. Diniz - 1997 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 20 (4):690-690.
Synchronizing oscillations may be just one case of integration and/or coding, one which explains associations by concurrence. Understanding the sequencing of neural/behavioral events requires a clock mechanism that imposes structure behind mere associations, and may be best served by dissociating oscillations and synchronization in terms of physiologic and computational mechanisms.

American Philosophy before Pragmatism by Russell B. Goodman.V. Denise James - 2016 - Journal of the History of Philosophy 54 (4):686-687.
Goodman’s book is neither a survey, nor a comprehensive history of American philosophy before pragmatism emerged in the late nineteenth century in the works of Charles S. Peirce and William James, nor does it explore undiscovered depths of American thought possibly overlooked or lost to time. Rather, Goodman’s treatment of five men—-Jonathan Edwards, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Henry David Thoreau—attempts to follow James’s understanding of what philosophies are and to “convey each writer’s feel for the ‘whole (...)

The Сoncept of Sachverhalt: The State of Affairs in the Austrian Philosophy of the 19th Century.V. V. Seliverstov - 2019 - Russian Journal of Philosophical Sciences 62 (1):106-120.
This article considers the concept of Sachverhalt in the Austrian philosophical tradition of the 19 th century. In particular, we examine the works of Bernard Bolzano, Rudolf Lotze, Julius Bergmann, Franz Brentano, Karl Stumpf, Anton Marty and Alexius Meinong. The emergence of the concept of Sachverhalt, or the state of things, in extensive philosophical discussions is connected with the works of L. Wittgenstein and phenomenologist Adolf Reinach. Reinach criticized previous theories of judgment. He wrote that they were built on the (...)
