W artykule opisano krystalizowanie się języka niemieckiego od początków indogermańskich, poprzez germański, staro-wysoko-niemiecki, średnio-wysoko-niemiecki aż do fazy wczesnowysoko- niemieckiej. Autor koncentruje się na ukazaniu zmian fonetyczno-morfologicznych, towarzyszących temu procesowi, uwypuklając szczególnie tzw. pierwszą i drugą przesuwkę.

This article confronts aphorisms by two authors who are far apart in the time continuum. What they – the aphorisms – have in common is that they focus on a critical examination of language as a means of communication. The conclusion of the analysis can be summarised as follows. In the first case, we are dealing with a scholar and exact scientist – a university professor of experimental physics in Göttingen in the Age of Enlightenment. The other, on the other (...) hand, is a contemporary politician and active parliamentarian. As one would expect, the former insists on an exact analysis of the means of language and resists imposing limits on it. The other aphorist, on the other hand, is inclined to commit himself to precise linguistic formulations. His expressis verbis credo is rather committed to dialectics and reads: You should not read an aphorism several times in order to understand it once, but read it once in order to understand it several times. The article discusses the essence of English loan words in German with particular emphasis on the present situation, but also contains a reference to the past and literature. It is also a slightly modified version of my speech on the occasion of Professor Ryszard Lipczuk’s 65th anniversary.

W artykule ukazano powszechne błędy pisowni w prestiżowej i opiniotwórczej prasie niemieckiej, na podstawie Der Spiegel, Die Welt i Die Zeit. Wybrane laspusy zostały podzielone na sześć kategorii: - typowe błędy ortograficzne - błędy morfologiczne i ortograficzne w wyrazach obcych - błędy wynikające z interferencji intranlingualnej - błędy mające swoje źródło w wymowie danych leksemów - błędy wynikające z nieznajomości istoty lub etymologii danego wyrazu - błędy związane z wpływem języka angielskiego na język niemiecki Poruszono także zagadnienie błędów gramatycznych, które (...) – jak wykazała analiza – również nie są przypadkiem odosobnionym. Przy poszczególnych typach błędów podano jednocześnie ogólne przyczyny ich występowania. (shrink)

The article follows on from Sadziński and is his “provocative” antithetical sequel. Ac cording to an internet research, sentences with even occasionally have no chronological order.The analysis carried out has shown that the sentence structures without time series mentioned often do ot understand themselves as temporal sentences. They are the result of de facto contamination with colloquially marked causal clauses.

The basic part of the article is devoted to the nature and the modalities of use of eponyms, whereby terminological problems are also touched upon – preferably against the background of a contrastive analysis, which is also only implicit. In this context, a consistent differentiation is made between eponyms and deonyms in order to accommodate the disambiguation needs of the former in German. The use of deonyms will be exemplified primarily on the basis of scientific and culinary terminology, where deonyms (...) (in part) perform different functions in each case. (shrink)
